AFB and APH Partner for a Future of No Limits for People Who Are Blind

Date Posted: 06/28/2018

FamilyConnect, created by the American Foundation for the Blind in partnership with the National Association of Parents of Children with Visual Impairments (NAPVI), was launched to give parents of visually impaired children a place to support each other, share stories and concerns, and find resources on raising their children from birth to adulthood. Over the years, we've addressed many common concerns of those who have children recently diagnosed with an eye condition, shared key age-specific information on raising a visually impaired child, and offered guidance on pertinent education issues. We have reached over 713,000 pages viewed this fiscal year alone and 2.07 million pages viewed over the course of three years. As this fiscal year comes to a close, we are preparing to transition to a new home at the American Printing House for the Blind. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting new chapter for FamilyConnect!
