LC Industries, a multi-site manufacturing, distribution, retail and E-Commerce Company is seeking a Magento Developer to join our team.


Description: The Magento Developer position is a mid-level position that allows you to gain valuable experience with the potential of working on exciting projects that will involve third party integrations, e-Commerce, multi-site functionality, custom module creation and more. The position involves development and support of dynamic PHP / MySQL based web sites in Magento on Linux hosted environment. Duties range from custom development of scripts with few development precedents, the creation of entirely new extensions for Magento. Qualified candidates need to be able to demonstrate object oriented programming skills in PHP and show some basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding. Ideal candidates have a portfolio and significant professional development experience. The Magento Developer is primarily responsible for producing quality, on-budget, and on-schedule solutions on projects. Responsibilities and duties include: ·creatively solve complex problems. Develop on the Magento platform. Contribute to our internal code base using an open source model in Git. Install, develop and modify custom extensions. Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Contribute to internal initiatives such as improving our development processes. Work closely with internal team and external Magento partners.

Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication required Limited supervision. Four year degree preferred and or equivalent work experience preferred. In-depth knowledge of Magento's code structure, extension/theme architecture, and fallback components. Comfortable with MVC frameworks. Proficiency in object oriented programming and solid experience with all of the following languages: HTML/CSS, Javascript, AJAX, XML, and MySQL. Understanding of ecommerce best practices. Ability to identify and debug application performance bottle necks and bugs. Ability to write clean, readable code and perform tests. Magento Developer Certification a plus. 4+ years of PHP development experience with at least 1 Magento project for 3-4 months preferred. Experience with third-party web services integrations. (REST/SOAP). Has managed code through version control system such as GIT on past projects. Some level of Linux server administration on a LAMP stack. Experience with ERP integration such as Microsoft Dynamics a plus. Experience with memory based cache such as Memcached, Redis a plus. Experience with Server migration / Server configuration on Linux a plus.
