LC Industries, a multi-site manufacturing, distribution, retail and E-Commerce company is seeking a Training Specialist to join our team.

DESCRIPTION: Collaborate on training projects and assist in training design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Deliver employee and customer training on the use of computer hardware and software applications. Assist in training basic web accessibility and cybersecurity awareness. Training delivery may be face-to-face in a classroom setting or virtual using web-based technology. Provide instruction following course descriptions and outlines. Determine learner knowledge level and skill mastery through observation or by administering oral, written, or practical assessments. Monitor and document learner progress. Gather training feedback following each session. Provide employees one-on-one, on-the-job training or coach small groups to build technical skills. Assist in evaluating vendor training and course materials with a focus on determining content accessibility and usability. Assist with onboarding employees by providing information on training and development opportunities. Contribute to initiatives focused on building a learning culture within the organization. May assist in preparing training communications and marketing. May attend meetings, webinars, or conferences to identify training trends and best practices which can be incorporated for continuous improvement of learning programs. Requires three (3) or more years of experience training technical content and computer skills to adult learners who are blind and visually impaired (BVI). Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware and software installation, operation, and troubleshooting. Proficient internet use. Experience using a variety of BVI assistive technology. Experience training software applications such as Microsoft Office, NVDA, JAWS, ZoomText, or other assistive technology used by people with blindness or visual impairments to access information and perform tasks in learning or work settings. Prior experience learning new technical skills and transferring the knowledge and skills to others through structured training activities. Experience assessing learner progress and preparing training reports.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in either Education, Training, Vocational Rehabilitation, Computer Science, or Information Technology; OR equivalent work experience. CompTIA A+; Microsoft Office Specialist; IT Security; Web Accessibility; OR any other relevant industry credentials. Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT); Association for Talent Development; eLearning certificate, OR any other relevant industry credentials.
