ACBL is a special-interest affiliate of the American Council of the Blind.Services Offered
Community Outreach Programs
Encourages blind persons to join their local clubs and participate in civic projects, whether or not those projects are related to blindness. ACB Lions network with one another and share information about resources and opportunities for the blind and visually impaired. ACBl members advise clubs on appropriate programs and expenditures for the visually impaired community.
Information and Referral
Educates the membership of local Lions Clubs about the needs and concerns of blind and visually impaired people and how the clubs can help meet Helen Keller's challenge of becoming "knights of the blind".
