Local Family Support coordinators present and sponsor opportunities for parents of children with disabilities to gain information that can assist them in participating in the processes for obtaining special education or early intervention services for their children. Information and Referral


Provides information to families regarding community services; refers families to local support groups, workshops, advocacy groups; provides opportunities for families to network and share ideas and experiences; and helps to link “experienced” parents to parents of newly identified children with similar special needs.
