Leer este artículo en español

A great deal happens in the preschool years, and there is a lot that you can do to help your child make the most of his education. This section has some ideas for you to help your child develop reading and writing skills and advice on how to begin working with your child's educational team.

Your child may also need to learn specific subjects or techniques because he is visually impaired; for example, braille, the use of optical devices or assistive technology, or walking with a long cane. Review the "Education" section for children who are blind or visually impaired for more information on these topics and more!
