Joseph T. Hull, Ph.D. is an Associate Director and Clinical Development Scientist at Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc. Dr. Hull has over 15 years of experience in human circadian rhythms and sleep research. He previously worked at Division of Sleep Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) in Boston, Massachusetts between 1999 and 2015. He earned his Ph.D. in Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey in the UK in collaboration with BWH/HMS. The main focus of his Ph.D. thesis and post-doctoral work was circadian rhythms and sleep-wake patterns in adults who are totally blind, and he was also involved in the clinical trials that tested a treatment for Non-24-hour Sleep-Wake Disorder in totally blind adults between 2011 and 2014. Joseph joined Vanda as a clinical research scientist in November 2015 and is currently raising awareness on Non-24-hour Sleep-Wake Disorder and working on clinical trials to treat Non-24-hour Sleep-Wake Disorder in children and adolescents.
