Two children affected!

Is there anyone that has 2 or more children with lca. My oldest son who just turned 5 today has it and i just found out my baby girl i am pregnant with has it as well. I am just wondering what i should expect. Does it tend to show the same way in related children?

    Hi,
    I have gotten in touch with some folks at Foundation for Retinal Research and asked them. Have you been in contact with them? They are the major group dealing with LCA. You can reach them at frr.org.

    Hello,
    My name is Amber Purpura, I work for the Foundation for Retinal Research. I have seen several families with more than one child with LCA. I am thinking you know your gene and have had an amino to find out that your second child has LCA. Is this correct? I have also seen that each child is different. LCA doesn't seem to present itself in the excact same way in each case. If you would like to contact me directly my email is amber @tfrr.org

    I also have 2 children both effected by lca. my oldest was 3 and i was preg with my youngest when i found out he had lca also. I also new that they both had the same affected gene of lca. the doctors said they would have the same symptoms but i do think that maybe my youngest has more light perception then my oldest but they are very close. I personly feel that they don't know enough to psitivley say they will be exactly the same but i guess we will have to wait untill they are old enough to tell me what the are seeing..good luck

    Hi!
    I will have soon two children affected by LCA. My oldest one shes 5 years old, and in 2 month i will have a baby boy with LCA too and this same mutation.
