Helpful books (audio best) for teenager who seems down?

I'm working with a student who has asked to "talk with someone", but there is no one qualified at school.  It's a complicated situation at home as well.  I have no professional qualifications either, I'm just trying to find something for him to read to help.

Are there some books I could recommend to him that might help his state of mind?  Of course large print or audio (iPod) would be best.

    Hi,
    Why isn't there anyone at his school who can "listen" and provide support? How about local mental health services? If this student has serious issues troubling him, am not sure that a book will solve the problem.

    I know that a book is not the best solution, but this is a complicated situation with the different entities involved "on different pages". I am not in a decision making roll - I just wanted him to have something that perhaps other teens with vision loss have found helpful. I cannot say anymore because of privacy issues. But thanks for your time in responding.
