new tech tools

I thought it might be interesting to the group to note that Google has an accessibility search site.  It is currently in beta right now as they perfect it. My son loves it!  
Also Google has just enabled text to speech accessibility.  
We love the accessibility that Google and Macintosh are providing now.

    Thank you for your post on new tech tools being made available.

    As we know technology is everywhere and very much a part of our children's daily lives. Assistive technology allows the blind and visually impaired to read, grow, learn and achieve their independence.

    A friend's Dad is color blind and cannot see the Red digital oven temp numbers on the oven pad. Any suggestions, quick fix so that he can read the RED Numbers?? His oven turns to 350 automatically. Thank you, I'll try to get more info if necessary.

    My oldest daughter has an Kindle Fire. Does anyone know what apps if any that Amazon has that I can download for my other daughter? Her teacher has given me some for an Ipad. My Name and a matching one but I can't find those on Amazon.
