What do you believe are the benefits of a parent/professional collaboration related to the Expanded Core Curriculum?
One of the most wonderful benefits of a parent and professional—and all professionals collaborating—is looking at the child holistically. Instead of looking at the child through the parents' eyes or through the child's eyes, the Expanded Core Curriculum makes you look at all different levels of the child. It helps the parent and the professional to look at the child's ability levels realistically in all areas, not just academic. And it's gonna be through the lessons that are learned in the Expanded Core Curriculum areas that are going to enable the child to be a successful adult—to integrate in the society—and it begins with infancy.
