Teens' Voices

Teenagers who are blind or visually impaired talk about sports and recreation, orientation and mobility, and what becoming more independent has meant to them. In these audio interviews, students and their parents speak frankly about what has helped them get the most out of school, and feel most confident about the future. Hear their thoughts on helpful technology, adaptations for sports, advocating for themselves, and more. Parents weigh in, as well, on the importance of including the functional life skills outlined in the expanded core curriculum in their child's IEP.
