THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER and EQUESTRIA

The New York Therapeutic Riding Center (NYTRC) now in its 12th year of operations in New York City, is expanding its program EQUESTRIA sm, for blind and visually impaired children at Chateau Stables in Manhattan. NYTRC has conducted therapeutic riding classes for the blind in visually impaired children living in the 5 boroughs of New York City for many years. A skilled therapeutic riding intructor, volunteer leadwalker and sidewalkers, and gentle horses hae helped the EQUESTRIA students who are blind to acquire considerable skill as riders. In addition, for our blind and visually impaired students, the EQUESTRIA program has led to improvements in balance, coordination, posture mobility and self-confidence. For additional information on the expanded EQUESTRIA program for blind and visually impaired children at Chateau Stables in Manhattan, please call 212-535-3917.
